KYUR8_27 Guest Editor: Amanda Charchian

We love it when past guest editors recommend future guest editors, and we are super glad to introduce artist Amanda Charchian. The words YES, MAGIC, and ENERGY are reoccurring themes in her art and life… which are very much intertwined. Surrealism, the occult sciences, mystery, photographing women and the relationship between dark and light are often at the center of her inspirations. Yoko Ono is one of her key muses. (Yoko is a bad-ass and will always be ahead of her time).

“I appear defiant because I have something to rebel against, something to be resistant to. Every artist I admire has something to say, to instigate, a passion to ignite.”

- Amanda Charchian

KYUR8_26 Guest Editor: Wade Oates aka TV Wade

Chicks dig this guy and so do we. Why? Because he’s a native New Yorker, plays guitar, shoots photos of his interesting New Yorker friends and is an artist at heart. He surrounds himself with other creative people, and moves through Gotham like the Boy Wonder that he is. Wade Oates aka TV Wade is our No Fool April Guest Editor.

PHEELINE zine by Marla.

We admit it, we have a zine crush on Marla.

Not for nothing, but she kind of kills it each time she dives into making a zine on the KYUR8 app.

Mondays will fuck you up if you let it. so let it : )

Two dark zines from BitchinPanda and Ghosty.

Pink Military is an awesome throw back to post punk early 80’s. If you have never heard Pink Military, do yourself the favor and go here.

Ecstasy is a mix of grit and grime of the sublime kind. As if Norwegian death metal got up off it’s ass and decided to haunt Vogue.

Both zines were made with our KYUR8 app.
